With its goal to reach 30 million passengers by 2020, Dublin Airport (DAA) is reaching out to engineers, designers, entrepreneurs and intrepid travellers to help it enhance customer experience at the airport over three days of collaboration and innovation.
RTÉ, Ireland's National Public Service Broadcaster, together with the DCU (Dublin City University) Alpha Innovation Campus and Frontline Ventures, have partnered with DAA to support the three-day hackathon event taking place at DCU next Friday, 15th April to Sunday, 17th April.
SITA is delighted to be providing its APIs for the event which will offer participants a range of baggage tracking data, flight and weather information, and other flight and passenger services to integrate with their innovative new concepts.
Between 150 and 200 hackers are expected to take part in the three day hackathon with the overall winning solution winning a cash prize of €7,000, and the runner up receiving €3,000.
