Distribution Channels and Custom Templates
Distribution channels can be used to target information for specific types of boarding passes and specific types of passengers, for example, high loyalty status or first class cabin passengers.
A unique code is used to define each distribution channel which is specified when issuing a boarding pass. Custom templates are available for each distribution channel to customise the messaging and display for passes. In addition, you can also disable or enable templates by channel.
Select Administration > Custom Templates
To create a channel, enter a three character code (letters or numbers) for the new channel and click on the Create Channel button.
A new menu option for this channel is displayed under Custom Templates.
You can enable and disable SMS, email and push notifications per channel. You can also enable or disable SMS, Email, Web, Push Notification and Passbook templates by channel. If a channel code is specified when a boarding pass is issued, the custom settings configured for the channel will be used. Otherwise, if no channel code is specified on issue or an unknown channel code is specified, the default templates and settings will be used.
